A charity tattooing event is taking place today (Tuesday) in memory of an Isle of Wight man who died earlier this year.

As previously reported by Isle of Wight Radio, 30-year-old Sam Pritchard took his own life in April. His family paid tribute to a “beautiful, caring and sensitive soul.”

A charity tattoo event is taking place in Cowes this afternoon.

Those attending will be able to get small heart tattoos – which represents ‘suicide awareness’ – in tribute to Sam.

It will cost £30 – £15 of which will go towards suicide prevention charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).

The event is fully booked but drop-in sessions will be offered on a first come first served basis.

You can pop along from 4pm at Tainted Skin in Cowes.
