Freshwater Independent Lifeboat is hosting it’s last open day of the season today (25 August).

This Bank Holliday weekend is an opportunity to meet the volunteer lifeboat crew and see them carry out life-saving exercises in Freshwater Bay.

The team will have its doors open from 10.30am until 4pm.

There will be fun and games for all the family, such as a teddy tombola, hook-a-duck, a treasure hunt plus books, pottery and driftwood on sale. As well as food and drink and live music from West Win and the Brass Monkeys.

The annual Grand Draw will also be launched with prizes including a £250 Brittany Ferries voucher, a kayaking session with Adventure Activities and a Magnum of Champagne and much more…

Rod Adams the Principle Fundraiser for the charity said:

“This is one of our largest prize giveaways! The prizes have been generously donated by our lovely supporters.”
