Four teenagers have been arrested – and a 16-year-old has suffered a head injury – following a “large” party in Wellow last night (Friday).

Hampshire Constabulary says it was called to an incident, contained to one address, on the Main Road at 10.20pm.

Police say a boy was taken to St Mary’s Hospital after suffering a cut to his head.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and obstructing a constable in execution of their duty. He remains in custody at this time.

An 18-year-old boy was given a conditional caution for being drunk and disorderly in public.

A 17-year-old boy, arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer, also remains in custody.

While, a 17-year-old girl has been detained on suspicion of assaulting a police officer. She remains in custody.

A co-responder from Freshwater Fire Station also attended the incident, alongside the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
