Isle of Wight estate agents, Hose Rhodes Dickson, is no stranger to houses – but its latest one is extra special.
Working with the Brighstone School Association (BSA), a new playhouse has been installed at Brighstone Primary School – to the surprise of pupils returning from their summer holidays.
The playhouse had long been in discussion since the previous house was knocked down two years ago to allow for extra space as the school expanded.
Through various fundraising by the BSA and a donation from Hose Rhodes Dickson, a local carpenter was able to complete the project in time for the new school year.
School headteacher, Teresa Fox, said:
“We are extremely pleased to be able to present the pupils with their new playhouse. We will shortly be having the whole garden landscaped too, and I know the children can’t wait to start playing here.
“We are very grateful to the parents and students who have been busy behind the scenes fundraising, and to Hose Rhodes Dickson for their generous donation.”
Hose Rhodes Dicklson Newport Branch Manager, Tom Buchanan, added:
“We are happy to be able to support Brighstone Primary School and get involved in such a fun project for the local community. Of all the houses we are involved in, this has certainly been the most enjoyable!”
