The Green Party candidate is Vix Lowthion, who lives with her family in the East Wight.
The 43-year-old is a teacher on the Isle of Wight and has been a prolific campaigner on environmental issues in recent years.
Vix Lowthion’s earlier campaign escalated the Isle of Wight to become a top target seat, when she won The Green Party’s second highest green vote in the UK (after Caroline Lucas).
In the 2017 general election Vix Lowthion won 12,915 votes (17.3 share), finishing third on the Island.
In 2015, she won 9,404 votes (13.4% share), finishing third.
