The Flood Alert on the Eastern Yar in Sandown will remain in place until at least 11am tomorrow (Thursday).
The Environment Agency says water levels have fallen significantly since Monday’s rain.
However, rain is forecast this afternoon and into tomorrow and this would cause the river to rise to a similar level to Monday night.
By tomorrow, a minor impact is expected at Sandown’s (Golf Links and Moreton Common Road).
The Environment Agency says,
“We continue to monitor the river and will issue further updates, as water levels rise. Please ensure that any pumps used to protect gardens and property from flooding can operate. This Flood Alert will be updated by 11:00 on 07/11/2019.”
