Nigel Farage says The Brexit Party will not field candidates for the 317 seats won  by Conservatives in the 2017 election.

He claims it will prevent a second EU referendum.

Isle of Wight Conservative Bob Seely won the seat here in 2017.

Berkshire businessman Peter Wiltshire was due to stand in December for The Brexit Party, backed by former UKIP candidate Daryll Pitcher.

It now looks likely that he will withdraw.
