The Isle of Wight’s Santa Dash Run returns today (Sunday) – with hundreds of runners (dressed-up as Santa) taking part.

Competitors are invited to a group warm-up at 11am today at Ryde Seafront before the run starts-which goes along Ryde Esplanade and back via Appley Park.

All runners over the age of three have been sent a Santa suit for the event.

Organisers at Mountbatten say if you raise more than £50 you will be entered into a special prize draw.

Mountbatten’s major events fundraiser, Hannah Joyce, said,

“Santa Dash really gives everyone the chance to get in the Christmas spirit while also helping us support people experiencing death, dying and bereavement.

“The demand for our services keeps growing and we want to be there for anyone who needs us, so all the support we get is really important.”

Family and friends are welcome to come along to support at Superbowl whilst indulging in mince pies.
