The opening date for the Isle of Wight’s first ever Burger King has been confirmed.
Extensive work has been happening at the Newport site since plans were approved earlier this year.
Speaking to Isle of Wight Radio, a spokesperson for the fast-food chain said a ‘soft’ opening with reduced hours will happen on Monday, December 16.
The new restaurant, which will also have a drive-thru facility, is based at Coppins Bridge Leisure Park.
A Burger King spokesperson said:
“We can confirm that a new Burger King restaurant will be opening in Newport, Isle of Wight, at Coppins Bridge Leisure Park.
“The restaurant will operate at selected opening hours from 16th December, before its grand opening in January.
“To celebrate the official launch, there will be an exciting giveaway in the new year for hungry locals who want to eat like the King himself, so watch this space.”
