An Isle of Wight woman is holding a photo shoot to raise awareness of an illness that one in ten UK women reportedly suffer with.
As previously reported, Georgia Day from Ryde, formed a support group in November last year for Islanders suffering with or affected by endometriosis.
It’s often called an “invisible condition” and Georgia is asking “absolutely anybody” to come to the event at 1pm on Saturday (7).
“I know we can get some more people from the Island to turn up, I’m encouraging families and partners to turn up as well, it doesn’t have to just be people with endometriosis
“It’s classed as an invisible condition…. we want to raise awareness.”
The photoshoot is at Isle Click Photography, Ryde this Saturday.
Georgia told Isle of Wight Radio she organised the event with Shannon Rose, who have been each other’s “rocks” since meeting via the support group on Facebook.
