Storm Dennis is hitting the Isle of Wight and starting to cause disruption to cross-Solent travel.

A Met Office Yellow Warning for strong wind comes into force at 10am today (Saturday), while a heavy rain warning is in place from 12pm tomorrow.

Hovertravel services are currently suspended. An update is expected at 11am.

The Red Jet is running a one boat service departing Southampton at XX45 and Cowes at XX15 due to technical issue.

**Due to the extremely strong winds, Wightlink’s Lymington to Yarmouth service has been suspended until further notice.

Portsmouth-Fishbourne could also be disrupted later, says Wightlink. The advice is to check before you travel.

WIGHTLINK: Due to the extremely strong winds, the 19.00, 22.00 and 23.59 ex Ports and the 18.00, 20.00 and 23.00 ex Fish have been cancelled this evening.
Lym-Yar is still suspended and customers are advised to travel only when essential.
RED FUNNEL: Due to Storm Dennis our Vehicle Ferry will be suspended until further notice. Further updates will be provided at around 9pm. Red Jet is also suspended.
