Two trees outside of Newport’s County Hall are set to be removed by the Isle of Wight Council.
The local authority says two out of three False Acacia trees have ‘reached the end of their lives’.
They will be axed in the next month and replaced by younger trees.
Sadly two of the three shady False Acacia trees outside County Hall have reached the end of their lives. We will be taking them down in the next month or so. They will of course be replaced with young trees that should provide shade again in the future. #trees #isleofwight pic.twitter.com/ZmZwjHUvd1
