Organisers of Ventnor Fringe say it is with a ‘heavy heart’ that they have made the decision to cancel this year’s event.

However, they say they are committed to ensuring its long-term survival – and its small team is working hard to keep ‘the dream alive’.

A spokesperson said:

“Financially this is a very difficult period for us, but the generosity and support
shown by everyone towards the festival and Ventnor Exchange  gives us huge hope for the future and an optimism that this has become a movement that can bring about real and lasting change.

“We still hope to mark what would have been this year’s event in an exciting creative way and will reveal more as soon as we are able to.”

“In the meantime, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all next year when Ventnor Fringe will return from 27th July – 1st August 2021.”

All artist registration fees and ticket sales will automatically be rolled over to 2021.

Organisers say they will refund everyone, in full, who does not or cannot attend next year’s event.
