Cowes Men’s Shed has recently crafted a new community notice board to support Grow Gurnard – a community farm near Gurnard meadow, aimed at bringing people together, growing fresh food, and making a positive impact on the environment.

Shed member Jan was the driving force behind the notice board, which has been designed and built by Bob and other members of the group.

It will serve as a central hub for sharing information and will be installed in a key location to ensure that people stay up to date and get involved in this fantastic initiative.

Speaking about the initiative, Project Leader Adam, said:

“At Cowes Men's Shed our members are always keen to work with other charities and good causes, where we can, and we’re proud to play a small part in helping Grow Gurnard flourish.”

Cowes Men’s Shed, supported by the National Lottery and other generous funders, is open to all aged 18+, five days a week – offering a carpentry workshop, craft room, IT area, and gardens with raised beds and greenhouses.

They can be contacted on meninshedscowes@gmail.com or 209734.

Grow Gurnard welcomes people of all backgrounds to come together to grow food and help the planet.

If you would like to find out more about the community farm or how to get involved, contact info@growgurnard.org or 07733 800207.
