The Island's dedicated green technology show returns to showcase the latest EV’s and much more.

Following three successful events bringing together dozens of Island businesses and close

to 1,000 visitors, the Going Electric show returns to Newport Quay and Riverside centre on Sunday 31st of August.

The show gives Islanders the opportunity to explore the latest electric cars, vans, bikes,

solar panels, heat pumps, charging solutions and much more, together with talks from

leading experts on electric transport and sustainable living.

The event is organised by Wight Community Energy and kindly supported by Red Funnel,

the Co-op and local building specialists ERMC.

Ray Harrington-Vail, chair of Wight Community Energy, said:

“EV sales are increasing every year and will make up one in four sales by the end of 2025.
"Our show presents brand new EVs ranging in price from £15,000 to luxury models with price tags to match.
"It is the perfect opportunity to browse what might be your next car. But the show is much more than just cars, with the Island's best renewable installers exhibiting alongside a variety of non-profit organisations working in the low-carbon and energy-saving sectors.
Whether you want an e-bike, an EV, a solar panel or energy saving advice the Going Electric show is the place to find it all."

Entry and nearby parking are both free.
