Isle of Wight band Caught Short have released their debut single Preachers, which is available to stream now.

The six-piece group recorded the track at Platform One in Newport and released it on Easter Sunday.

Revolving around the idea of a character having an unfaithful partner whilst his conscience tries to convince him with a moral dilemma, the song features both singing and rapping.

The band filmed a video for the song at multiple Isle of Wight locations, including Newport’s AAA Records and Ryde’s Rocket Ronnies.

On lead vocals are Lina Ribeiro and Jaeden Staley, with Denis Birloaga taking on the rapping.

Casper Adams supports on keys, whilst Louis Marshall and William Morrison, who are both members of rising rock band Five Degrees North, also feature in the band.

Speaking about releasing their debut single, Caught Short said:

"Preachers is a perfect blend of each band members' personal influences.
"The writing of the song was very collaborative and it's an absolute favourite to play on stage."

Next month, Caught Short will perform at GG’s Bar and Restaurant as part of the Platform One Arts Aid Gala.
