Dog lovers and families are being invited to a tail-wagging afternoon of fun on Sunday 27 April at the Ability Dogs 4 Young People Training Centre, located at Sandown Airport.

The Fun Dog Show begins at 2pm, with registration open from 12pm.

Entry to the event is completely free, with plenty of parking on site and a friendly team of Volunteers ready to help.

Each class has a suggested donation of £2 per dog, and with categories such as Best Puppy,

Best Veteran, Waggiest Tail, Dogs Most Like Their Owner, Best Trick and more, there’s

something for every dog and their proud owner.

There’ll be refreshments from local providers, stalls to browse, and a relaxed, welcoming

atmosphere—all while supporting an incredible cause.

Ability Dogs 4 Young People is an Isle of Wight charity that trains assistance dogs (Ability

Dogs) to enhance the independence of disabled young people and children living on the

Island.

The Charity trains Ability Dogs to support with physical and mental disabilities,

including cerebral palsy, autism, diabetes, epilepsy, anxiety and depression.

These incredible dogs provide essential support, helping with practical tasks and offering reassurance and unconditional love that boosts confidence and quality of life.

It costs around £6,000 a year for the Charity to train a puppy during their first three years,

ensuring they grow up in excellent mental and physical health.

The Charity commits to supporting each Ability Dog financially throughout their working life, so that finance is never a barrier to someone in need of receiving the life-changing support from an Ability Dog.

The event offers a great chance to enjoy a relaxed afternoon, meet the team, and learn more about the life-changing work of Ability Dogs 4 Young People.
