Local Charity Football Match Returns To Raise Money For Mountbatten

Writer: Dominic KureenDominic Kureen

Following last year's successful event, which saw more than £4,000 raised for Mountbatten, the Workwear Island Charity Football Match is back – and this year, it's set to be even bigger.

Organised by Ellie Moore, owner of Workwear Island, the event raises money for vital local causes and brings the whole community together for an unforgettable day of football, fundraising and fun.

This year's match promises even more for families and football fans alike, with the exciting addition of youth matches and interactive children’s football sessions from The Football Fun Factory.

After the main charity match, two separate youth games will be played, giving the next generation of footballers the chance to shine in front of a crowd.

The main event will still see local legends, familiar faces and surprise guest players take to the pitch in a light-hearted, competitive clash – all in the name of charity.

Workwear Island is calling on local and national businesses to get involved and help sponsor the event, donate prizes or provide equipment.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to supporting Mountbatten, a charity close to all Islanders' hearts.

The event will again be held at Brading Town Football Club on Sunday May 25 from 12pm.

Entry can be secured by donation (suggested £5), kids go free.
