RSPCA Isle of Wight is hosting its own 'doggy adventure' later this month, with pooch accompanied walks taking place in the morning and afternoon of Sunday April 27.

The Great Isle of Wight Dog Walk promises to be a 'pawsome' day out for humans and their canine pals.

RSPCA IW has teamed up with the Isle of Wight Steam Railway for the day, with dogs being treated to a commemorative tag and a family dog show — the latter courtesy of fellow animal charity Friends of the Animals.

The morning walk, from Wootton to Havenstreet (5km), will see people meet at the Steam Railway for 9.45am, with a short journey to Wootton via the train and then a scenic walk back in that direction.

The afternoon leg will head off from Havenstreet to Briddlesford (8km) from 2pm.

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

You can find out how to take part in the walks and details of a range of other activities on offer during the day by visiting this link.
