Isle of Wight musician Ruby will take to the stage for an in-store acoustic performance as part of Record Store Day this weekend.

The singer-songwriter will play live in Ventnor Reggie’s Retro on Saturday, April 12.

She’ll begin at 1.30pm as vinyl collectors celebrate the day of limited edition releases of physical media.

Ruby’s live appearance follows the release of her latest single, 18 Going On 80.

The track was solely written and produced by Ruby two weeks after her 18th birthday.

It was mastered at the legendary Abbey Road Studios and also features Josh Palmer

You can listen to 18 Going On 80 here:

Speaking about the release, Ruby said:

“It feels incredible to say I have self-produced a song.
“I was just a scared 18-year-old girl writing this, and if I can help someone feel less scared from hearing my words and music, then I’ve done all I want to do.”

Ruby is no stranger to performing in record shops, having played live in Southampton's HMV and Newport's AAA Records.

Record Store Day 2025 will feature rare and limited vinyl releases from artists including Taylor Swift, English Teacher, Charli XCX and Sam Fender.
