Solent Fishermen Receive Rescue Tow From Cowes Lifeboat

Two men’s late night fishing trip ended with their boat having to be towed to safety by Cowes lifeboat on Friday evening (April 11).

The duo's boat suffered an engine breakdown shortly before 10pm, near to West Ryde Middle, forcing the men to drop anchor and phone for help.

The lifeboat towed the boat up the River Medina to The Folly, eventually returning back to the lifeboat station at 12.45am on Saturday morning.
