Stranded Yachtsman Rescued by Cowes RNLI Lifeboat

The rescue of a yachtsman, stranded on his yacht tender that had gone aground at Newtown, was the task of Cowes RNLI lifeboat in the early hours of this (Wednesday) morning.

The lifeboat launched just after 1am and eventually managed to deliver him to his yacht.

The whole operation had taken some hours.
