The family of a beloved Isle of Wight teenager, who made a huge impact on the local community and beyond, have paid tribute to him following his passing yesterday (Monday).

Arlo Lambie was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour in October 2024, having suffered multiple migraines beforehand.

The statement released by Arlo's family said:

"Arlo, our beautiful son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, friend and companion died peacefully, under the pink moon, and surround by the love of family and friends.
"Arlo held deep appreciation for the wonder and abundance of life, and to the end he shared it with generosity, love, grace, lightness, humour and open compassion.
"Thank you all again for your incredible support and understanding through this journey, we look forward to celebrating Arlo and this amazing community with you all soon.
"Funds raised in Arlo's name will be used to support causes close to his heart.
Wishing you all love and peace."

A JustGiving page has so far raised more than £109,000 for those charities, with Islanders donating en masse after hearing Arlo's story.

Arlo was the inspiration for 'Wear What Makes You Happy' MUFTI day in February, with more than 80 local schools, pre-schools and businesses taking part.

His friend, Taylor, said at the time:

"Arlo is the nicest guy, he deserves our help — I hope this day fills him with a smile."

One of many tributes shared by others on social media said:

"Rest easy Arlo, you've touched so many lives with your inspirational tenacity and love for life."
