On the first day of May, care home staff at Newport's Orchard House welcomed the arrival of spring with a delightful outing to Quarr Abbey under the radiant sunshine and beautiful weather.
The day proved truly unforgettable, especially for residents, who wholeheartedly enjoyed every moment of the experience.
Adding a touch of charm to our picnic was the feeding of the pigs – residents brought along a generous supply of fresh carrots, which the little pigs devoured with great enthusiasm.
These interactions not only brought joy to everyone involved but also highlighted the unique bond between people and nature.
A spokesperson for Orchard House said:
"This excursion is yet another reminder of the importance of shared experiences within our community.
"We are already looking forward to the next opportunity to create more cherished memories together!"
