Christmas proved to be a busy period for the Isle of Wight's police force.
Several arrests were made for a number of offences on Christmas Eve.
Five of them were in connection with separate domestic assaults. Two women and three men were arrested for the respective incidents.
A man wanted in London for GBH was also detained. There were also arrests for domestic criminal damage, a public order offence in Newport and an assault.
A spokesperson for the force said:
"Not every incident we deal with ends with an arrest, another way we can deal with a matter is to ask someone to attend the police station on another day for interview.
"This can happen if we believe the offence they have alleged to have committed is of a lower level, we may have some further enquires to conduct first, it does not require immediate safeguarding or a potential remand in to police custody.
