Pictures show what happened when a bonfire grew 'out of control' in East Cowes this morning (Tuesday).
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is advising Islanders to 'burn responsibly'.
It comes after crews were called to a 'fire in the open' at Millfield Avenue just before 10am.
As Isle of Wight Radio previously reported, two appliances and a water carrier were in attendance.

There were fears the blaze could spread to a nearby hedgerow. Two hose reels and a main jet were used to put it out.
But firefighters are warning how quickly fires can spread if they are not handled carefully.
We attended a ‘fire in the open’ that was out of control this morning. 2 hose reels and a main jet used to extinguish. Dry ground conditions along with some wind can quickly assist the growth and spread of a fire. Please only burn responsibly. 🚒 pic.twitter.com/4mlcZ3H60Y
