Several Island businesses have been recognised at the Tourism South East Beautiful South Awards, sponsored by Quality in Tourism.
The results of the awards, which celebrate the best of the best in tourism in the South East, are eagerly awaited by the businesses who have put themselves forward.
Haviland Cottage and The Royal in Ventnor, Art Deco House in Shanklin and Bembridge's Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park all received awards at the ceremony last Tuesday evening (December 13).
The evening took place at the Grand Hotel in Brighton, with bronze, silver and gold awards up for grabs.
In congratulations to four Isle of Wight based businesses who took away trophies, Will Myles, MD at Visit Isle of Wight said:
"I am so pleased for the Isle of Wight businesses who have had their hard work recognised and rewarded in this way.
"Gaining the recognition of a Beautiful South Award gives visitors confidence when booking their place to stay, eat and visit.
"I would urge all Island tourism businesses to grab the opportunity to take part in an awards process."
Details of Isle of Wight businesses that won are as follows:
Dog Friendly Accommodation of the Year — Silver to Haviland Cottage in Ventnor.
Self-catering Accommodation of the Year — Bronze to Art Deco House in Shanklin; Silver to Haviland Cottage in Ventnor.
Restaurant of the Year — Bronze to The Royal in Ventnor.
Holiday Park of the Year — Silver to Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park at Bembridge.
