Police were called to Sandown yesterday (Tuesday) following reports of a man with a firearm at a residential park.
Officers arrived at the Fairway Residential Park shortly after 6pm, seizing a BB gun.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:
"We were called at 5.57pm to reports of a man in possession of a firearm at Fairway Residential Park.
"Police attended and seized a BB gun from a private residence.
"No further police action is being taken in the circumstances."
