The Rainbow Run - Bubble Fun at Sandown Airport has raised more than £25,000 for the Isle of Wight branch of Wessex Cancer Trust.
On Sunday (18), more than 700 people took on the 3km course, which included inflatables, powder paint and, new for 2021, two bubble stations - in celebration of the trust's 40th birthday year.
Lorraine White, the charity's Regional Fundraising Manager, said:
"We're always blown away by the popularity of Rainbow Run and, yet again, Isle of Wight families and businesses came out in full force to support Wessex Cancer Trust on what must've been the hottest day of the year so far!
"Despite the intense heat, everyone came away with a smile on their face - and a coating of rainbow-coloured paint!
"Even in these uncertain times, Islanders continue to go above and beyond to raise money for us and we are always wowed by everyone's efforts and generosity. "We have supported local families living with cancer for the past 40 years and your support will help us continue to be here for the next 40.
"We must also thank our headline sponsors, Arid Design and Management Consultants. Thank you so much."
