Sunday Services To Start At Mountbatten

A reflective communion service will be held every Sunday at Mountbatten, starting from tomorrow.

Mountbatten’s Chaplain, Rev Julia Myles, will lead the service in Mountbatten Chapel, and it will be open to anyone of any denomination — or none.

Rev Myles said:

“We want to create something that retains the traditional structure of a communion service and is also friendly and relaxed and that epitomises our values.

“Mountbatten is here for everyone whenever they need us, and we would love to use this Sunday service and mealtime to create a community, where all feel welcome and are inspired and encouraged.

“Poetry, art or music will often feature in a short reflection on the Gospel for the week and we hope it will appeal to people who are looking for something a little different.”

Sunday lunches will be available from Mountbatten Café afterwards, although these should be booked in advance by calling 01983 217341.

Services start tomorrow (Sunday, August 15).
