Two people have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences in Newport.
During a routine patrol yesterday (Monday) officers stopped and searched two people on Drill Hall Road in Newport.
Both men were subsequently arrested after officers seized suspected drugs.
The pair, aged 20 years-old and from Newport and Carisbrooke respectively, were arrested on suspicion of possessing a class B drug with intent to supply.
Posting on Facebook, Isle of Wight Police said they have been released from custody at this time but remain under investigation while further enquiries are carried out.
