Clarence Road

Water is leaking out of a road in East Cowes - meaning it will be shut to traffic.

Cllr Karl Love has posted footage on his Facebook Page of water seeping out of Clarence Road.

He said Island Roads will be closing the road to traffic as soon as possible.

Isle of Wight Radio understands it is a Southern Water leak.

Drivers will be diverted up Old Road.

It comes as the final phase of York Avenue works gets underway, as previously reported.

As previously reported, residents branded the work- which have been going on since March - 'an absolute joke', saying houses were shaking because of ferry traffic being diverted down residential roads.

Businesses on York Avenue exclusively revealed to Isle of Wight Radio how they have been 'massively impacted' by the work.
