Go Yellow for Mountbatten
It's that time of year again and the team here at Isle of Wight Radio are excited to support Go Yellow.
Whatever you wear, eat or do – on Friday 2 October, make it yellow!
It’s the return of Go Yellow, Mountbatten’s annual fundraiser.
New for this year is the Big Yellow Tea Party – whether socially distanced, in family bubbles or virtually, bake cakes and brew the tea to raise funds for Islanders who need Mountbatten’s care and support.
You can download posters, bunting, cake flags and recipes from Mountbatten’s website now https://www.mountbatten.org.
And you can also order a Big Yellow Tea Party pack online by signing up to Go Yellow.
Looking to add a sunflower to your yellow outfit? Mountbatten’s online Sunflower shop has a range of new sunflowers, including small lapel pin badges as well as larger sunflowers to decorate your Go Yellow event. Visit Mountbatten’s online shop at www.mountbatten.org.uk/shop or pop into a Mountbatten charity shop to buy yours.
Why not fly the flag for Mountbatten this year? Mountbatten has once again teamed up with official media partner Isle of Wight Radio to help your car look just the ticket! You can buy your GoYellow car flag from Mountbatten’s online shop or pop into any of Mountbatten’s ten shops across the Island.
You can even get involved from the comfort of your armchair by planting your own virtual sunflower in Mountbatten’s online field. In exchange for a donation of any size, your sunflower will pop up with the option to include a message www.mountbatten.org.uk/appeal/
There are so many ways to get involved this Friday 2 October – we all need a little sunshine right now, so let’s turn the Isle of Wight bright yellow and help support Islanders when they need it the most.
