Winds of 80mph have been recorded at The Needles.
The Isle of Wight felt the brunt of Storm Francis yesterday (Tuesday) with strong winds and torrential rain.
The Met Office reported 81mph, while Needles Coastwatch recorded 80mph at 8.43pm.
A Met Office Yellow Weather Warning for wind remains in place until midday, but conditions on the Island have already improved.
