On Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 June the Island’s ‘Shed Fest’ will take place at Sandown Airport.
This weekend event, organised by the Islands ‘Shed’ members, will be open from 10am to 4pm.
There will be interest for all the family with a variety of stalls and activities as well as refreshments and live music.
There will be a beer festival at the event on both days which will be open longer on Saturday evening.
Entry for the public will be free with plenty of onsite parking.
On the Sunday June 16 its Father’s Day, an ideal opportunity for Dad and Grandad to come along and meet the local ’Men in Sheds’ members and find out what they do.
There will be representatives from six locals Sheds together with a further four from the mainland as well as volunteers from the Isle of Wight Steam railway, the Bus Museum, Sandown and Shanklin Rotary and many more.
Sandown Airport is the site of Sandown Aviation Museum and Sandown Shed.
The ‘Shedfest’ event has been sponsored by the Royal British Legion, with donations from Wight Aid and the Wight Aviation Museum.
