The Covid vaccine booster bus will not be serving the Isle of Wight this weekend due to potential adverse weather.
The bus successfully rolled out to three Island towns across four days last week with the capacity to give 1,750 Islanders their third jab.
It was set to do so again this week but the Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) confirmed no outdoor vaccinations will take place.
It said:
“While we understand this will be disappointing, we have taken this decision in the interest of patient safety.
“We are working to provide more capacity in addition to booked appointments safely as quickly as possible.”
More appointments are being added to the national booking system daily, it said, and advise people to check regularly for any updates on its website or call 119.
More information on how to book your vaccine is available on the CCG’s website.
