The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has landed in Ryde today (Tuesday).
The helicopter has landed on the pad at the Hovertravel terminal on the seafront.
Several police units are also on scene.
It's understood one person was thought to have needed urgent medical treatment.
Witnesses say that one person has been taken by ambulance to hospital.
A grassed area near to the terminal has been cordoned off.
