Three arrests were made on the Island yesterday (Saturday, March 27) by police investigating drug-dealing.
Officers said they stopped and searched a Silver Peugeot 206 and its occupants near the junction of West Street and Green Street on suspicion of being involved in the supply of controlled drugs.
This was around mid-day on Saturday.
A man, aged 33, from Newport and a woman, aged 34, from East Cowes were in the car.
Police initially detained them, but later released the suspects while enquiries continued.
Officers also searched a house in West Street, leading to the seizure of suspected illegal drugs and other items.
They also arrested a 28-year old man was arrested, who has been released as enquiries continue.
