
FOUND: An appeal has been launched to find an eight-year-old boy who has gone missing from Newport.

Police say they, and George’s family, are “very concerned” for his welfare.
He was last seen at around 3.20pm this afternoon (Sunday) on the Furrlongs in Newport.
Anyone who has any information is told to contact officers as a matter of urgency.
He is described as:
• White
• 4ft tall
• Slim build
• Mousey brown hair which is short on top
Officers believe that George is likely to be wearing grey jogging bottoms and a grey hoody with a Ben Sherman logo on it.
Wight SAR - the Island’s voluntary search and rescue team - is also out searching.
Anyone that has seen George, or has information about his whereabouts that they believe could assist our enquiries, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44220471552.
