The Isle of Wight's oldest tourist attraction - Shanklin Chine - is reopening its doors next month (April).
The Fisherman’s Cottage Inn will also follow suit, offering a limited menu and pre-booked table service (outside only).
Both will open from Monday April 12.
Anne Springman, Trustee, said:
“We are really looking forward to welcoming everybody back to our beautiful, historic Chine. We have introduced a number of measures to ensure the Chine is COVID-secure, including a one way system.”
“We have also built a new external box office for visitor enquiries and everything that has been done has been completed as sympathetically as possible so the experience will be as enchanting as ever.
"We are making sure the Chine’s natural beauty still shines through and that visitors have an enjoyable - and safe - visit.”
The Chine, now a registered charity, will offer a takeaway service and its illuminations will be switched on at dusk.
It will open daily from 10am – 10pm.
Jo Porter, Operations Manager of the Chine and Fisherman’s Cottage Inn said:
"We are excited to be able to open both the Chine and the pub from 12th April. We’re also looking forward to opening a new addition to the pub’s offering in 2021, our Hut.
"Customers will be able to pick up takeaway drinks, settle on the beach outside of the pub and enjoy the views and open spaces.”
The Fisherman's Cottage is expected to open fully from May 17, subject to the Government's roadmap.
