The Isle of Wight's Arts Society will be presenting the first lecture of its new season on Tuesday September 27 at 2.15pm.
The IW Arts Society’s new season will kick off at Northwood House in Cowes with a visit from Marc Allum, famous from his many appearances on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow.
He has been a miscellaneous specialist on the BBC Antiques Roadshow since 1998 and has appeared on numerous television and radio programmes.
Marc regularly writes for mainstream magazines and is an author, antiques consultant and lecturer.
He will take members and visitors on a behind the scenes look at the UK's most beloved Antiques show and talk about some of the most intriguing, enigmatic and valuable finds over the last few decades.
Every month, the society will host top rated experts in their fields, to give illustrated lectures on a wide variety of subjects connected to fine art, including painting, sculpture, music, history etc.
