Gritters will be out in force on the Island's roads tonight and in the early hours of tomorrow morning (Tuesday).
It comes as a warning for ice/black ice was issued by the Met Office for the Island, as previously reported by Isle of Wight Radio.
The gritters will be out from 7pm this evening and again at 5am tomorrow (Tuesday).
Treatment will commence at around 3am.
Island Roads said:
"Please drive carefully and (accordingly) to the conditions."
