New laws for dog owners will come into place from May 1, with several beaches off-limits or restricted to dogs until September 30.
A £100 fixed penalty fine may be issued to anyone caught with their dog in restricted areas during this time, and this could rise to £1,000 if prosecuted in court.
A full list of the beaches where the restrictions are in place between May and September can be found on the Isle of Wight Council website.
Cabinet lead for waste, environment and heritage, Cllr Jonathan Bacon, said:
“Our public space protection orders are there to ensure visitors and residents alike can enjoy our parks and public spaces.

"It means owners must clear up after their dogs — you can use any public bin and not just dog specific ones — and keep your dog under control while abiding by restrictions in place.
"The orders make sure we have the powers to deal with the few who don’t act responsibly."
A list of beaches which remain unrestricted for dogs is available on the Visit Isle of Wight website.
