Bembridge RNLI's All-Weather Lifeboat was launched at 1.06pm this afternoon (Monday) to assist in the recovery of a man overboard.
The incident occurred on a 14m commercial motor vessel located south of the Isle of Wight.
Within about 30 seconds of launching, the incident was cancelled after the vessel reported that they had successfully self-recovered the MOB and no longer required assistance.
The lifeboat - Alfred Albert Williams - therefore returned to the Offshore Boathouse and was recovered by 1.30pm.
