Biosphere Festival To Take Place Across The Island This Weekend

The Isle of Wight's first biosphere festival will take place this weekend - with more than 40 events across the Island.

The festival is being held to celebrate the Island's UNESCO Biosphere Reserve status on June 29th and 30th. Most events are free and family friendly.

Free talks, walks and workshops will take place at the Quay Arts Centre - featuring local folk songs, crafty up cycling, nature walks, wildlife friendly gardening and printmaking

There will also be family fun and learning at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary's Festival of Conservation and Science (FOCAS) Festival all weekend.

Children's activities will also take place at six libraries, alongside a a rewilding open day, a Creative Biosphere market, a great oak walk, a wellbeing walk, a mindful forest walk and an arty walk.

Full details can be found at iwbiosphere.org/biospherefestival.
