Bob Seely, the former Member of Parliament for the Isle of Wight, has returned to the local political sphere.
The 58 year-old, who was the Island's MP from 2017 to 2024, is back in local politics as a parish councillor for Freshwater.
Mr Seely had previously held the post of County Councillor for the Central Wight ward between 2013 until 2017.
Bob's new role will see him represent residents in West Wight after he was co-opted onto the council alongside local entrepreneur Sandra Knowles.
The pair have replaced outgoing incumbents Gill Kennett and Carol Bray.
Bob Seely - often seen as a controversial figure in local politics, in part due to a reported Covid breach in 2020 - had served two terms as MP for the Isle of Wight until he lost his seat to Labour’s Richard Quigley last year.
