A band who cut their canines on the Isle of Wight are set to release their high-octane debut single.
"Don't Get Too Heavy" is the first standalone release from Jo-Jo & The Teeth and arrives replete with a video teaser, which you can watch below.
The art-rockers, comprised of two Canadians and three Islanders, cite influences from Queen and Fleetwood Mac to the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith.
Don’t Get Too Heavy has an upbeat, forward driving sound.
Anthemic, uplifting, and with oodles of sing-along pop hooks and crescendos, the track is intimately rooted in old fashioned guitar rock and roll.
Indefatigable vocalist JoJo O'Donoghue told Isle of Wight Radio:
"We are beyond ecstatic to finally be releasing a single. It has been a very long time coming for us, and Covid kicked us back on our asses, so it's exciting to finally be putting something out!
"We are honoured to have had the opportunity to work with Director Kassandra Powell and her team for our debut music video, which will be gracing eyes everywhere on April 15.
"Honestly, it has been such a crazy, amazing ride, and we are pumped up and ready for everything."
Don't Get Too Heavy was recorded, mixed and mastered at The Albion Rooms Studio — the revered Libertines HQ based in Margate — by sound engineer extraordinaire, Jason Stafford.
A single launch event will be held at Camden Assembly on the official release date of May 6, but before then you can enjoy a short teaser of what promises to be a tantalising music video.
