A crash involving two vehicles in the outskirts of Newport this morning has resulted two people being injured.
Police were called at 8.05am today (Wednesday) to a report of a road traffic collision involving two cars on Briddlesford Road near Newport.
Two people reported minor injuries.
The head-on collision resulted in a driver being trapped at the junction with Lynn Cross, with traffic diverted for a time.
The road has subsequently been cleared.
