Three people have been arrested after a theft at a hairdressers in Ryde yesterday (Sunday).
A 54-year-old man was assaulted and had his wallet stolen following an incident on Star Street, according to police.
Hampshire Constabulary says it was called just after 6pm yesterday evening.
A police spokesperson said:
"...three men stole two electrical hair items from a hairdressers and assaulted a 54-year-old man who tried to stop them. They also stole his wallet which had fallen from his pocket."
Officers located three men on St John’s Hill.
A 50-year-old man, of no fixed abode, and a 33-year-old man, from Southsea, have been arrested on suspicion of theft, common assault, and shoplifting.
A 29-year-old man, of no fixed abode, has been arrested on suspicion of theft, common assault, and attempt shoplifting.
All three remain in custody at this time.
