A burst water main has led to the closure of Briddlesford Road this afternoon (Wednesday).
Briddlesford Road is shut from Briddlesford Lodge Cottage to Hillcrest, for a distance of 393 metres.
Southern Water is working to repair a four-inch burst pipe on the outskirts of Newport.
Diversions are in place.
